I recently started a webcomic a week ago! It's called Iron Empress and will be updated weekly on Saturdays! These are some concept sketches of the main character and the antagonist, plus some horse practice (there will be lots of horses haha).

its about damn time...
...that I posted these.
Long story short, I've been doing "re imaginings" of season spirit things (muses? deities? I don't know what the "correct" term is). These two are winter and summer; autumn and spring are currently in the works. I'm enjoying doing the series; its been a good way to get more familiar with putting characters into concrete settings rather than just drawing them in blank spaces over and over.

I like medieval armor
I like how the different pieces and parts are shaped and how they fit together. I like the variations on armor between cultures and why said variations exist (do these people ride horses a lot of the time? Primarily use bow and arrows as opposed to spears or swords?). So it's not surprising that my liking armor seeps into character design.
Here I'm trying to illustrate differences in armor between two made-up cultures. Still needs some tweaking; the one on the right is supposed to be geared toward riding horses and the one on the left not so much. Horse-riding dude could nix the armor bits sitting below the belt; it can't be too comfortable sitting in a saddle with those things there haha. I like the leather kilt on the righthand figure but it could be changed up more so it doesn't scream 'ancient Roman'.
That's all for now, will check in back next week.

just one for today

I like space...
...which explains the giant folder of wallpapers featuring galaxies and nebulae taking up memory on my computer. And the made-up planets and alien races.
So today we have a sketch of a way station embedded in a large potato-shaped moon, which is large enough itself to have two smaller moons and a comm satellite orbiting it. This moon is located in a debris field between the planets Olan and Rhokha. I thought something like this would be needed for travel between planets in my made-up planetary system (which I still need to map out /makes mental note).
